Christina Aguilera - Breast Implants

As a pop diva, Christina Aguilera seems to reinvent herself with every new release. Many have questioned whether Christine Aguilera and breast implants are part of the reinvention process.

Many of the younger women in Hollywood are also starting to jump on the plastic surgery bandwagon. There are many reasons why younger stars are getting cosmetic procedures done; it's becoming harder and harder to stay in the public eye without doing something dramatic to boost your image. While such anti-aging procedures as face lifts, eye lifts and Botox might not be needed when you're under the age of 30, these young adults are opting for other surgeries such as lip injections and breast augmentation. One artist who has had many rumors told about work on her body is Christina Aguilera, breast implants being the most common story.

Christina Aguilera was born on December 18, 1980 in Staten Island, New York. The daughter of an Ecuadorian father and Euro-American mother, Aguilera's talent was first recognized by her grandmother when she was very young. In her youth she was called the “little girl with the big voice” and appeared on Star Search at the age of 10. In 1993, Christina Aguilera got her first big break when she joined The New Mickey Mouse Club, a kid's show that also starred such future pop stars as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez.

In 1998, Aguilera sang a song for the Disney movie Mulan, which led to her getting a record deal with RCA.  Her debut album, released in 1999, was received very well by the public, even though many critics labeled it as “Bubblegum Pop”. In 2000, Aguilera touched on her Latino roots and released an album in Spanish, which featured some of her English hits translated, as well as other new songs. This album won her a Latin Grammy award, which she added to her “Best New Artist” Grammy award that she had won in 2000.

The next album Christina Aguilera released would prove to be controversial, and started many of the rumors about Christina Aguilera breast implants. In 2002, she released Stripped, an album that Aguilera stated was about exploring her darker side. Much sexier than her first album, she also referred to herself as “Xtina” on this album, to differentiate from her previous work. A successful tour, which she performed with Justin Timberlake, followed.

Now, Christina Aguilera has most recently embraced adulthood, stating she has grown up (and some have noticed her breasts have mysteriously grown as well). She has become infatuated with the style of the 1940's, recorded a new album called Back to Basics, and she's even gotten married. Having never admitted to any plastic surgery, it doesn't really matter to Christina Aguilera whether you believe she's had breast implants or not.
