Celebrities with Breast Implants
When one thinks of plastic surgery, celebrities often immediately come to mind. Here is a look at celebrities with breast implants so you know who is up to what.
Celebrities with Breast Implants
One of the most popular forms of plastic surgery for women is breast augmentation. This process involves enlarging the female breast by placing implants into the chest, which increases the volume and size of the breast. Most of the implants done today are made of silicone-based sacs that are filled with saline (salt water), and they can be used to subtly enhance breast dimensions or dramatically increase cup size. Because of the popularity of this procedure, many celebrities with breast implants are used as models for breast augmentation.
The number of celebrities with breast implants is increasing, as large breasts become the norm in Hollywood. While some of the celebrities with breast implants are just rumored, others have admitted to having augmentation surgery to enhance the size of their chest. While some women who do have this procedure performed will deny having implants placed, others are very willing to talk about their surgery. The stigma around breast implants is decreasing as more people have plastic surgery done.
One of the most famous celebrities with breast implants is Pamela Anderson. Originally famous for being in Playboy magazine nude, Anderson got breast implants in the early '90's after she moved from Canada to the United States. After a successful career in television, which included appearing on the show Baywatch, Pamela Anderson got her breast implants removed in 1999, supposedly because she wanted to focus more on being a mom. By 2003, however, new pictures of Anderson in Playboy showed that she again had breast implants, and that her breasts were even larger than before.
Another of the celebrities with breast implants is Jenny McCarthy. McCarthy also started her celebrity career in Playboy, as a centerfold in 1993 and in 1994 as Playmate of the Year. She then became popular on television on stations such as MTV and E!, and has been in movies (although her acting ability was soundly criticized). McCarthy originally received breast implants in 1993, but removed them in 1998. Later, she again went in for breast augmentation.
While the number of celebrities with breast implants is growing, it is safe to say that most women who have breast augmentation still do not admit it. But with plastic surgery becoming more and more popular, and celebrities being more open about their private lives, more and more celebrities are willing to talk about the “work” they've had done on their bodies.
